Privacy & trust
Know what is captured. Know what you are approving.
A useful assistant should make its boundaries understandable. This page explains the proposed workflow and what still needs to be confirmed before clinical use.

Your controls
Control should be visible.
Make the choice at each meaningful step.
- Start recording after consent.
- Pause when the conversation should be private.
- End the encounter clearly.
- Read the source.
- Check uncertainties.
- Edit the draft before it becomes the final clinical note.
- Review information and prepared actions.
- Confirm before a message or task goes to a partner or team member.
Processing
Understand where your information goes.
Local-first processing is part of our planned architecture. The current Ask Vault policy allows relevant information to be sent to an AI provider. The clinical processing flow will be disclosed before patient use.
Before patient use
Before patient use, the details must be clear.
Processing providers, retention, deletion, access controls, recording consent and the necessary practice agreements must be confirmed. The public demo uses fictional information only.
Where information goes
The clinical storage and processing locations will be disclosed before patient use.
Who can access it
Practice and provider access permissions will be explained before patient use.
How long it remains
Retention, deletion and backup rules will be disclosed before patient use.
Policies
Read the existing policies.
The current Privacy Policy and Terms remain the governing text for the existing service. They should not be treated as new clinical recording terms.
Questions
How is patient information handled?
The clinical data-handling model, processing providers, retention rules and practice agreements must be confirmed before patient use. Read Privacy & trust for the current boundaries. Public demonstrations use fictional information only.
Does the AI run entirely on my device?
We are planning local-first processing. Before clinical use, we will explain which steps happen on your device and which use cloud services.
Does it record all day?
That is not the proposed workflow. Start a visit deliberately after obtaining the required consent, pause when needed and end it before the next patient. Wearing a microphone does not mean recording the whole shift.
Ask before you share.
Questions about early access or data handling are welcome. Do not include patient information in a public request.
